This truck was originally used to haul gas in the mountains. It has a 289 4bbl engine with a 5 speed OD transmission. It is fitted with a wedge bed with 9000 pound electric winch.
1963 GT Hawk – This car is an early production that has not been restored with an R-2 engine and a 4 speed transmission and no power steering and heater and radio delete. It is believed to be the cover car on Motor Trend June 1963 and the show car in the 63’ Chicago Auto Show under the performance banner and is also in the promotional Motor Trend's magazine on the DVD “Different by Design”
